Fireplace

We inherited an old cast iron wood burning stove with the house, a Vermont Castings Resolute. Solid stove but would need a bunch of work & parts to get it to be clean burning (defn not EPA certified).

We decided early on to move this to a new home. Found a buyer on craigslist. Looked up the specs to prepare to haul it to the driveway. The stove weighs 425 lbs!!! Basically equivalent to an adult male gorilla.

Not wanting to risk injury to ourselves or our project team maneuvering this down an awkward set of stairs, this one is going to have to be a job for one of the delivery cranes once the roof is removed. How did it get there in the first place??? Is what I want to know.
