Planting Plan

A few photos from the garden taken over the last couple of weeks. We had a fair bit of time pressure to get all initial planting done before our move date to pass wildfire and occupancy inspections. Fortunately, we’d done some groundwork ahead of time!

Highly recommend UK-based @pollyanna_wilkinson ‘s mini series on “how to design your garden” for bite-sized tips on seasonality, scale, color, structure, flow 🙏. @firesmartbc has a fantastic plant tool that lists recommended species according to fire-resistance, water use, sun/shade preference and pollinator attractiveness. And the north shore garden group (fb) is an incredible local resource.

We’ll see how all of this takes through the fall, and more to come.
