Permit Update II

An update - In the last 3 weeks, we’ve bolstered our engineering capacity and come up with a plan to tie into the existing foundation 🙌.

The rework includes geotech, added shear walls, increased height and rebar on what’s there, updated piers + footings.

A few new drawings, submissions and hoops to jump through with the District, triggered by the fact that per BC Housing our project is now considered “substantial reconstruction” or new home.

We’ll see how long the second round of reviews take. Hope to be back in action on site swiftly + in time for the good weather!

For timeline purposes:

  • March 20th permit package finalized
  • Further requirements outlined by the District (!)
  • March 27th submission complete, officially under review
